Underwater (2020) BluRay 720p Dual Audio Review
"Underwater" is a meaningless B-class movie with a cast of A-class actors often produced in Hollywood. This is a lean and mean film that allows you to immediately put it into action, and then not release the pressure until the last episode. In an age where big movies under the guise of greatness are getting longer and longer, it is refreshing to watch a compact movie that knows exactly what you need to do and set out to do. Another impressive performance, Kristen Stewart and really effective film photography from Boyan Bazzelli, "underwater" absolutely bully you like it. There is no time not to go. Some mid-sections succumb to incoherent effects. In this case, the dark background overwhelms the ability to actually judge what happened, but the flaws of the film never stayed long enough, sorry, sinking "underwater"
Stuart plays Nora, a person who works in an underwater research site, where the underwater research site is a few miles away from the surface. This is an annoying opening remark. In the delayed post-production process of the film, the producer gives the impression that when you are so far underwater, how time begins to lose all meaning. Without light, you sometimes cannot even tell whether you are awake or dreaming. At that time, when you were still looking for a seat in the theater, everything was out of control. The hull of the drilling platform began to crack and explode. Nora ran to safety and eventually found other survivors, including Vincent Kassel, Mamudou Asi, John Gallagher, Jessica Henwick and TJ Miller Character. that's it. Six people tried to survive a disaster that had already killed hundreds of people on the scene. There are no pictures of emergency personnel on the ground. There is no flashback. The escape cabin is either used or destroyed. Their only hope is to walk a mile along the ocean floor to another location, hoping that there are working pods. Then they found that they were not alone.
This also helped the producer of Underwater capture the eyes of the great Boyan Bazzelli. The photographers behind The Method of Healing Health and The Lord of the Rings know how to create a tense atmosphere through extreme close-up shots that put us in Nora ’s helmet while never losing the incredible The odds of fighting the geographic location. When this movie becomes a complete monster movie, Bazzelli and Eubank could have dialed a few degrees in the shade of the water, but it is still a visually effective movie, and its value cannot be underestimated. Most bad B-class movies like "Underwater" rely on stable jumping fear and unstable photography to disguise their low budget and lack of vision. What makes this different is that there is an artistic vision and charming sound design. The movie is full of flashes of broken or broken equipment and the squeaking noise of metal under water pressure. Everything is necessary to strengthen the tension.
I think the best thing I can respond to in Underwater is its ruthlessness. The first part of the movie is almost real-time, and the immediacy of filmmaking gives it power. "Underwater" abandoned all the superficial nonsense, and worse movies forced viewers to pass. In these nonsense, we met characters and foreshadowed the weird events that occurred underwater. No time. Don't be late. This is a panic movie about how to create unexpected heroes through instinctive reactions to adversity. There are also underwater monsters.
The last scene of "Underwater" is likely to make some people part ways, but I really like when the B-class movie really likes it. In the last scene of this movie, there are some impressive ambitions in the rhythm. My children are at an age when they are fascinated. They think there may be species under the surface of the ocean, and we have not determined their identity. When they grow up, I will show them "underwater". Maybe they will also like the B movie.
